Hello fellow club members! This is Sam Snow, founder, Midwest Carp Anglers Association. This is the first of the monthly newsletters that will be sent out year round to MCAA members. This is a busy season for carp events. Some will be listed below, and there are also many others to choose from. If you get a chance, go out and have some fun! Be safe and good luck! --Sam.

CLUB NEWS

John Melone of suburban Chicago recently became the 129th MCAA member. The organization is continuing to grow; this is an exciting time! Membership cards will be sent out when the annual dues are renewed. This will make the sponsor discount/member process work more smoothly.

ONGOING EVENTS

The forty pounder is still out there! $100.00 Visa gift card for the first MCAA member who catches one that is witnessed by another member, then released alive. There are also big common, mirror, grass and koi contests that run through Labor Day. Please check the website for details.

USING THE WEBSITE

Members, please send in your personal best carp pictures. It does not matter when or where you caught it; they are all great to see. Also, if you have fishing tackle you are not using and maybe want to sell, list it on the sale page. There is no charge for this. Please check the website for details.

3. MCAA Hampton Dam Challenge July 19th, Mississippi River
4. Belvidere Carp-A-Thon August 2nd, Rock and Kishwaukee Rivers
5. Montgomery Carp Derby August 10th, Fox River
6. Dixon Carp Derby, 2 day event, August ? Rock River
