Hello fellow club members! This is Sam Snow, founder, Midwest Carp Anglers Association. This is the third of the monthly newsletters that will be sent out year round to MCAA members. This is a busy season for carp events, some will be listed below, there are also many others to choose from. If you get a chance, go out and have some fun! Be safe and good luck! Sam.

CLUB NEWS

There are now 141 dues paying members in the MCAA. More will be signing on at the Lily Cache Shootout later this month. The organization is continuing to grow, this is an exciting time! Membership cards will be sent out when the annual dues is renewed. This will make the sponsor discount/member process work more smoothly. Congratulations to Ron Kunkle and Frank Rink for winning the common carp and grass carp divisions of the MCAA Summer Challenge!

ONGOING EVENTS

The forty pounder is still out there! $100.00 Visa gift card for the first MCAA member who catches one that is witnessed by another member, then released alive. This contest runs through the end of the year. Please check the website for details.

USING THE WEBSITE

Members, please send in your personal best carp pictures, commons, mirrors, grass carp and koi. It does not matter when or where you caught it, they are all great to see. Also, if you have fishing tackle you are not using and maybe want to sell, list it on the sale page. There is no charge for this, please check the website for details.UPCOMING EVENTS for 2008
