What:
MCAA Steel City Challenge.
When:
Saturday, March 15, 2008 - 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The sign
in starts at 7:00 AM; the peg draw will be at 7:30.
Where:
Des Plaines River, Joliet, Illinois, at South Bicentennial Park.
Who: Any two-person team that pays
the $20.00 entry fee in advance or $25.00 the day of the event.
The
team-mates
must be MCAA members to participate. Contact mcaa@comcast.net to
enter in advance.
Why: Fame, fortune and fun.
How: This event will be a two-person
team tournament. Pegs will be drawn just prior to the event. There
is a limit of 4 rods per peg. Tournament winners will be determined
by total weight caught. There will be a big fish pot on the
side. There will be a maximum of twenty pegs. This is a catch and
release carp tournament.
Prizes: Olympic style medals to top
three teams. The cash payout for the Steel City event is a 60%
(1st), 30% (2nd), 10% (3rd) split of 1/2 the paid entry fees plus
(2) $25.00 visa gift cards
for the top three teams.
