What:
3rd Annual MCAA Steel City Challenge 2010. Two man
team, catch and release carp fishing tournament.

When:
Saturday, March 20th, 2010. Sign in and peg draw 7:00
AM to 7:15 AM. Fishing is from 8:00 AM until 2:00 PM.

Where:
The Des Plaines River, Bicentennial Park, Joliet, Illinois.
The venue will encompass the north and south sections of the park
and both the east and west banks of the river. Sign in and peg
draw will be held in the south parking lot, west side of the river. Click

Who: Participants must be MCAA members.

Why: Fame, fortune and fun.

How:
This will be a pegged, two man team event with a limit of four
rods per peg. Total weight, catch and release format. Common
and mirror carp only. Carp must be released alive to count. $20.00
entry fee, optional big fish pot. 100% payout and Olympic style
medals for the top three teams. There
will be snacks and bottled water at the sign in. There
will be a limit of twenty pegs. E-mail mcaa@comcast.net to
enter your team and assure yourself a peg.

Fish Care: This is a total weight,
catch and release tournament. Common and mirror carp only.
The fish must be released alive to count. Please take as much care
as possible to minimize the damage to the fish.

Flea Market and Wacker Bait and Tackle Raffle: In addition to hosting the actual fishing tournament, MCAA will once again have a tackle flea market at the Steel City Challenge on March 20. This will be set up at Tournament headquarters and will open as participants are submitting results at 2:30 p.m. Wacker Bait and Tackle has also generously donated two $50 gift certificates that will be raffled at that time. print: This
event is for MCAA members only. Annual dues must be current. East
river bank pegs may be 100+ yards from parking spaces, so be prepared.
Participants will weigh their own captures. An accurate scale and
weigh sling are required for sign in. Weight tabulation will begin
at 2:30 PM in the south parking lot and prize distribution will
be soon after. 60%-30%-10% of entry fees will be paid out to the
top three teams. The big fish pot is for individuals, not per peg.
