What:
1st Annual MCAA Lake Storey Spring Challenge.

When:
Saturday, May 17th, 2008. Sign in starts at 7:00 AM; fishing
runs from 8-4

Where:
Lake Storey Recreation Area, Galesburg, Illinois--Off Rte 150
at U.S. 34, 309/345-3623. The
biggest common carp caught in Illinois this year will come out
of Lake
Storey in the next several weeks. It is a nice facility with shade,
washrooms, parking close to your rig, and it is relatively snag
free.

Who: Anyone who pays the entry fee ($5
for MCAA members, $7 for non-members) and signs the waiver.

Why: Fame, fortune and fun.

How: There will be a $5.00 entry fee,
$7.00 for non-MCAA members. This is a catch and release carp tournament. Scales
will be checked at sign in for accuracy. Participants will weigh
and photograph their entry. This must be witnessed by another tournament
participant. If someone does not have a scale or camera, a steward
will come out and verify the catch.

Prizes: Prizes are olympic style medals.
Cash prizes will be $70, $30 and $10 Visa gift cards for first, second
and third place, plus flea market and entry fee add-ons.

Tackle Flea Market and great food: There
will be a fishing tackle flea market. 10% of the flea market sales
and one half of the entry fees will be added to the prize pool. At
sign in, there will be doughnuts, hard boiled eggs and Slim Jims.
Hot dogs, chips and pop will be served at noon.
